Kids Playing - Vietnam - A group of boys playing in Saigon. School Girl On A Bike - Vietnam - This young lady is wearing, ao dai (Vietnamese national dress) The younger children seemed to wear tracksuits & or white shirts with a tie. They all looked so well turned out and either walked or took their bikes to school.
Keeping Up With Events - Cu Chi Tunnels - This photo was taken as I arrived at the Cu Chi Tunnels, an underground hidden network of Viet Cong tunnels, bunkers and field hospitals. Dug during the French-Indochina wars, they were expanded during later conflicts and proved to be a constant thorn in the side of the Saigon regime. Barbers In Phan Thiet - For some reason I'm absolutely drawn to barbers in different countries around the world and I was worried I'd left it too late in Vietnam. As well as internal shots like this one there are hundreds of chairs outside on the street in Hanoi & Saigon where gents can grab a wet shave or short back and sides. Boy - I took this photo on the drive back from Halong Bay to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). This little boy was with his mother who was busy working by hand on the land. Fanning The Flames - Hoi An - I took this picture of a young girl fanning a small flame. Out of shot are her sisters who were making lanterns by hand. Female Farm Workers - nr Ho Chi Minh City - One of the things that struck me most about Vietnam was how hard everyone works manually. I barely saw any machinery - the only time was in/near Saigon everywhere else it seemed to be that everything was done by hand. It looked like it was a real graft.
