A resident of West London, Rebecca Sichel Coates is a true disciple of the darkroom, a photographer in the classic sense who documents the gritty realism of the everyday in keeping with the tradition of the art form where film and chemicals rule but she has recently embraced the digital world and bought her first digital camera. So now a few digital photographs are finding their way on to these pages.
Inspired of course by the likes of Brandt, Lee Miller & Brassai to name but a few, but more importantly by everyday life, people, character, history, culture and most importantly of all, by the moment.

The majority of these art photos are genuine original silver-gelatine photographs, hand-printed and finished by Rebecca. Each photo is for sale in both sepia and black and white and you can buy from this site. You are buying directly from the photographer, so you benefit from my affordable prices and money back guarantee as well as having the satisfaction of dealing directly with the artist!
Original photographic prints:
Genuine silver-gelatine black and white photographs expected to last a lifetime, each hand-printed using traditional darkroom techniques. Rebecca uses an archival process known as thiocarbamide toning to create sepia toned prints from black and white photographs. Each photo is carefully inspected before mounting.

Permanence
Under normal conditions, these original sepia-toned or black and white photographs should last at least 50 years - far longer than most colour photographs or reproductions.
